Blackpool

I took a walk round the back streets of Blackpool last week. I set off aiming to get to the pleasure beach without going on any streets I recognised. I discovered some of the most run down areas and plain and simple poverty. I shot some generic "look how bad this place is", sympathetic/exploitative, Martin Parr-esq stuff (see below).





It's kinda difficult not to when you are confronted with this sort of poverty, I suppose being at Uni and coming from a home where the bread line is a dot in the distance, you forget this poverty still exists.

I'll be heading back out to shoot some more, with a less obvious opinionated discourse.
